S360 Response Unit Installation
This article describes the installation of the Secury360 Response Unit, covering both the physical hardware setup and the required configuration. The Response Unit can be deployed either as a stand-alone unit or connected to an S360 Box, depending on the site architecture and use case.

Power
The power supply can be provided via either the DC Connector, or as Power-over-Ethernet (PoE++) via the LAN Port.
Note that the S360 Response Unit may consume up to 45W, so in case PoE is used, the Power Sourcing Equipment in combination with the UTP cable type and length must be properly sized.
Wiring
- LAN: RJ45 UTP Cat6, supporting IEE 802.rbt (PoE++)
- DC Connector: 12-36V - 45 W
- Alarm In: Digital In
- Alarm Out: Digital Out
- Audio input: RCA Female
Network set-up
By default, the LAN port of the S360 Response Unit has following IP configuration:
-
DHCP is enabled
- Fallbac Static IP Address: 192.168.3.230
These network settings can be adapted via the Configuration Page that is hosted by the response unit:
-
Use a browser to surf to the static or dynamically assigned IP address, by default:
http://192.168.3.230 - Fill out the credentials. Default:
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
- It is required to change this password upon first login
- For changing the IP configuration, navigate to Network > TCP/IP and enter the desired settings.
- Press Save to apply the settings
Important – Firmware Version
Before configuring the S360 Response Unit, ensure it is running the latest approved firmware.
-
In stand-alone deployments, firmware updates must be performed manually via the web interface (see S360 Response Unit Web Interface for details).
-
When connected to an S360 Box, firmware updates are managed automatically.
Configuration via the S360 Portal
This chapter explains how to configure the S360 Response Unit via the S360 Portal when it is deployed in combination with an S360 Box.
The configuration process is demonstrated step by step in the instruction video below.
This configuration method is not applicable to stand-alone deployments.
Stand-alone configuration
In stand-alone deployments, the S360 Response Unit is configured locally using its built-in web interface. This interface is used to manage network settings, schedules, alarms, audio, and system parameters.
A detailed description of the available options and menus can be found in the KB article S360 Response Unit Web Interface.
