The fan must be installed when a 3.5" HDD is used in the S360 box. This is essential to prevent the HDD from overheating, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
Step 1: Loosen the screws
- Begin by loosening the screws that secure the backplate on top of the S360 box.
Step 2: Remove the backplate
- Carefully remove the backplate.
- Note: The backplate will no longer be required once the fan is installed.
Step 3: Plug in the fan
- Connect the fan's connector into the corresponding port on the S360 box.
Step 4: Secure the fan
- Fasten the fan in place by tightening the four screws
